ClickMagick Setup Guide: A Practical Starting Checklist

A clean ClickMagick implementation starts with the measurement plan, not the dashboard. Decide what counts as a conversion and how campaign sources will be named before configuring reports.

Define your conversion events

List the outcomes that matter: lead, booked call, checkout, sale, upsell or another funnel milestone. Use consistent names and decide which events have monetary values.

Standardize campaign naming

Create a simple naming convention for source, campaign, ad, creative and placement. Consistency is what makes later reporting comparable across campaigns.

Configure tracking

Set up the tracking domain and required site/funnel integrations according to ClickMagick’s current documentation. If your funnel crosses domains or uses multiple apps, validate that identifiers persist through the full path.

Connect ad platforms and costs

Connect the ad accounts and cost data you actually need. Do not connect extra systems simply because an integration exists; each integration adds another surface to monitor.

Validate before scaling

Run test visits and test conversions. Confirm the source, campaign, conversion event, value and cost appear as expected before spending heavily. Keep a written test case so future tracking changes can be checked against the same baseline.
