How Does ClickMagick Work?
ClickMagick works by creating a measurement layer between traffic sources, your pages or funnels, and the conversion events you care about.
Traffic arrives
A visitor reaches a landing page or tracked destination from an ad, email, affiliate placement or other source. Campaign parameters and identifiers provide the context needed to recognize where the visit came from.
Identifiers persist
The tracking setup uses first-party methods and other identifiers to maintain campaign context as the visitor moves through the funnel. This matters because a conversion may happen on a later page, later session or different step than the initial click.
Conversions are recorded
When a defined conversion occurs, the event is recorded and matched back to the known visitor or campaign context. Depending on the setup, events can come from browser code, server-side events, integrations, webhooks or other supported methods.
Attribution assigns credit
The reporting layer then applies attribution logic to decide which source or touchpoint receives credit. Advanced plans include additional attribution models and offline conversion capabilities.
Reports support decisions
The result is campaign-level reporting that can be compared with ad cost and funnel performance. The usefulness of the system depends on consistent campaign naming, accurate events and a tracking setup that matches the real customer journey.
