Link Rotators Explained

A link rotator sends visitors who use one tracking URL to different destinations according to rules you define.

Common uses

Rotators can split traffic between landing pages, distribute leads across offers, test different merchants or maintain a fallback destination when an offer changes.

Weighted distribution

Traffic does not need to be split evenly. Weighted rules can send more visitors to a preferred destination while preserving a smaller test group.

Measurement requirements

Record which destination each click received and connect downstream conversions to that routing decision. Otherwise the rotator hides the very performance difference you are trying to test.

Avoid silent offer changes

When affiliate offers have different disclosures, geography or eligibility rules, make sure rotation does not send visitors to an inappropriate destination.
